Richard W. Moretti (Dick)

age 90 of Prospect Heights, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2024. He was surrounded by his family – wife, Cathy of 65 years, daughter, Michelle Lewis, son-in-law, Neil Lewis and both granddaughters, Amanda Lewis (Minnesota), and Samantha Lewis (Chicago). He is survived by his brother, Ron Moretti and his wife Barbara of Wisconsin, brother-in-law, Leonard Lencioni who resides in Texas and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He also adored his grand dog, Lily and his two grand cats Puppy and Wabi. Thirty-two years ago a Cousins Club was started where they all got together every few months and celebrated at a family restaurant dinner. He owned three service stations where he did repairs, sold gas, towing and special services. First one in Skokie, then Chicago and lastly in Morton Grove. He was an Army veteran which he was so very proud of. He loved the outdoors, built an A-Frame in Wisconsin where he loved to hunt and fish. He was always fixing something and thinking of ways he could always make things work better. He traveled to Italy with his entire family which was a real highlight in his life. He was always surrounded with very many good friends, family and relatives. He truly enjoyed life, always found a way to make everyone laugh. His family meant everything to him. Visitation will be Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Liguori Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60070 with mass immediately following at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in the name of Richard W.
