A Direct Cremation is when the cremation occurs shortly after the passing of a loved one and occurs without having a viewing or funeral service before the cremation.

Often arriving at the real cost of a cremation involves many variables. Where are you located, deceased’s weight, permits, urns, shipping, taxes etc are all items to be determined. However, Journey Cremations has created an All Inclusive plan that removes all these variables. You will be presented with the one price we offer. Yes, the cremains of a loved one may be interned at a cemetery. A burial vault for the cremains can be obtained from Journey Cremations. This vault will hold the cremains for burial whether the ashes have been placed in an Urn or not.
Yes, as part of the process to create the death certificate, Social Security is notified.

We have found that the time frame is solely dependent on what works for the family. Often the memorial service is held within two months of passing. Some families have chosen to wait for a year to pass and hold the memorial service on the anniversary of the passing.
