Neil Patrick Bruce

Neil Patrick Bruce, born on September 4, 1943, lived a life rich in love, service, and passion until his peaceful passing on August 23, 2026, after a brief illness. A proud career and union member, Neil dedicated his professional life to his work as a sprinkler fitter. His commitment to his craft in Alaska and Illinois was evident in every project he undertook, and his colleagues remember him as a man of integrity and skill. In addition to his work, Neil served his country with honor as a Marine. Neil’s love for the outdoors was a defining aspect of his life. An avid fisherman and hunter, he found peace and joy in the tranquility of nature. Neil was predeceased by his beloved wife, Edith Bruce, his cherished daughter, Nicole Bruce, and his stepsons, James Jr., Thane, and Alan Chokwak. He is survived by his grandchildren, Fitz and Emma Zimmermann, who brought immense joy to his later years.
