Jerry Joe VanCrey

58, passed away on August 14th, 2022, in his hometown of Grayslake Il. After being diagnosed with a terminal illness in 2015 his battle had just begun. However there was a method to his madness. Between science, nature and nutrition, he surpassed the medical expectations he was given and fought this disease to the very end.

In Jerry’s younger years he was known for making people laugh, always clowning around. When he wasn’t cracking jokes, you can find him and his twin brother, Jack, on their BMX bikes, wreaking havoc in the neighborhood.

Jerry’s hobbies were building models repairing cars, motorcycles and small engines, fine tuning his bikes and was able to “Jerry-rig” any of his ideas that came along his path. While worked as a plumber he was a multitalented guy in almost all of the trades as in restoring bathrooms, painting apartments to perfection, ETC… When help was needed, he was always there.Jerry was a humble easy going and a simple man. Enjoyed relaxing with friends and family, drinking a cold one and smoking his Pall Malls.
