Jacob L. Cholke

85 of New Lenox, Illinois passed away May 9, 2022. Jacob was the beloved husband of Eleanore C. Cholke (nee Ross); loving father of Cathleen (Chet) Bullinger, Charlene (Ronald) Shelton, Jacob (Lori) Cholke, III, Charles (Therese) Cholke, and James (Elena) Cholke; loving grandfather of Steven (Lyndi) Shelton, Courtney Shelton (Michelle Batty), Candace (Michael) Habasinski, Brandon (Shari) Cholke, Collin Cholke (Deanna Voss), Lance Cholke (Hailee Szromba), Kevin Piven, Haylee Piven, Teagan Piven, Samantha Cholke, Isabella Pilkins and Gina (Kertis) Grimmer; loving great-grandfather to Abe, Mikey, Lucas, Tessa, Quinn and new baby Cholke soon to arrive; loving son of Jacob and Josephine Cholke; brother to the late Dorothy Mauricio, Agnes Smith and Mildred Herrera; and loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews. In addition to his family, Jacob dedicated 20 years (1956 – 1976) to the Chicago Ridge Volunteer Fire Department and during his time as a volunteer fireman he was the person to beat in all Waterball Tournaments. His adventurous side took his family on many road trips and his teaching techniques lead us all down a path that not many are privileged to experience. Jacob was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all. Rest In Peace dear husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, Uncle and friend.
