Bob Harold Grogan

84, of Lindenhurst, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022. Bob was born on September 5, 1937 to James Grogan and Flora (Shepherd) Grogan in Le Junior, KY. He worked for Central Can Company for over 40 years before retiring. He went on to work at Bass Pro Shops for another 18 years where he enjoyed teaching others about his favorite hobby—fishing. Bob met Brenda in 1958. They married in 1961 and remained inseparable for 60 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who instilled strong values and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Survivors include his wife, Brenda (Williford) Grogan of Lindenhurst, IL; Children: Bob (Diana) Grogan Jr. of Coal City, IL, Teresa Knoth of Lindenhurst, IL, Ken (Tammy) Grogan of Braidwood, IL, Roger (Karen) Grogan of Crystal Lake, IL, Laura (John) Sheets of Gilberts, IL. Grandchildren: Samantha (Brian)McCants, Robert (Erin) Grogan, Zachary Grogan, Anthony Knoth, Stephanie Knoth, Daniel (Stephanie) Grogan, Amanda Grogan, Katie Grogan, Lee Grogan, Kyle Homa, Jack Sheets, Nolan Sheets and Great-grandchildren, Gavin Grogan, Caleb Grogan, and Brayden Grogan. Siblings: brother, Joseph Grogan of Bean Station, TN; sisters, Judy Grogan of Fort Meade, FL and Selene Posey of River Ridge, KY. A gathering to celebrate Bob’s life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you dedicate a donation in memory of their loved one.
