James Micheal Jones

“Mike Jones” 68 of Des Plaines, IL passed away July 19, 2025, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge surrounded by family. He was born February 21, 1957, in Greenville, South Carolina. James was the beloved son of the late Mattie Dean and the late Lyman James. After moving to Evanston IL

James joined the second Baptist church at an early age. He received his formal education in the Evanston district 65 public school system. James was self-employed he was a carpet installer for several years. James leaves to cherish his memory: His sisters Diane Deloris Jones, Cassandra Cozart and Patti Jones. His brother Terry J Jones Sr.(Christina) his nephews Will Jones

(Karla) Leroy Cozart (Tina), Terry Jones Jr (Shannon), Jarrett Jones, Maurice Jones (Jasmine) Jerome Jones (Kathy Jonathan Jones (Lauren), his nieces Tea Jones, Moniqueka Latasha, Tiffany and a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his sister Sandra Jones, his brothers Charles Jones, William Jones his nephews Carl Jones, Darius Jones, Tyrone Cozart and Donta Cozart. James loved all Chicago sports teams. He was a die-hard CUBS fan. He enjoyed them all. Celebration of life on 8/16 at 4pm until midnight Bay Colony Club House
