Angela Kae (“Special K”) Bryan

(née Crosby) 51 years young, passed away from her cancer on December 8 2025, at JourneyCare Hospice of Barrington Illinois. Born on April 7, 1974, in Niles Michigan, Angela lived a life defined by love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family. Angela was a devoted full-time mother whose nurturing spirit extended far beyond her own household. She opened her home in Harvard Illinois, to provide Day Care Services for many families in the community creating a safe and loving environment where countless children were cared for with warmth and kindness. Her home was a heaven of laughter learning, and unconditional support – a reflection of the generous heart that guided every aspect of her life. For 35 years Angela shared an enduring bond with her beloved husband Anthony Bryan. Married for 25 of those years their partnership was one of deep affection and mutual respect. Together they raised 3 wonderful children: Cody Allan Bryan (31) Breanna Noel Miller/Bryan (29) and Owen Tyler Bryan (25). Angela’s love for her children was boundless; she celebrated their milestones with pride and stood by them through every challenge with strength and grace. Angela recently welcomed a new joy into her life – her first grandchild Blaine Aaron Miller – born to Max and Breanna Miller on November 7 2025. The arrival of Blaine brought immense happiness to Angela’s heart marking a beautiful new chapter in the legacy of love she built so selflessly. She is survived by family: her sister Renee Bateson her stepmother Denise Crosby, her stepbrothers Richard Crosby Jr. and Nicholas Crosby her half brothers Richard (“Bruiser”) Armon and Tony Armon her half sisters Chrissie Tyson and Katie Armon. She carried within her the memory of loved ones that passed before her: her first child Anthony James Bryan her father Richard Crosby, her mother-in-law Barbie Toschlog, her grandmother Eleanor Crosby. Their spirits remained close to Angela throughout her life. Those who knew Angela will remember her as the most genuine and loving person they have ever met. Whether you crossed paths with her briefly or shared years together she made you feel seen and valued. Her honesty was refreshing; her selflessness profound. She always took the time to listen – to truly hear – and offered comfort without hesitation. A private “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date to honor Angela’s memory in the way that she lived – with warmth laughter, and heartfelt connection among those that loved her the most. Angela Kae Bryan leaves behind a legacy rooted in compassion and care. May her memory bring comfort to all those that knew and cherished her.
