Patti Jo Wissig (Norris)

Born July 6th,1955, passed away on May 3, 2024. Patti was Born and raised in the City of Chicago with her brother Bobby (Robert), and her sisters Lynette and Vickie Mooney. She had a wonderful relationship with her Step-Father Robert Mooney who she called Dad. While growing up in the city, at the age of 12, she met the love of her life and eventual husband Wolfgang where they were married almost 50 years before his passing in 2021. Patti’s love for Wolfie was unwavering. During their relationship they had 3 sons; Gary, Jim, and Ron. Patti and Wolf moved to Elk Grove Village in 1978 with their 3 boys. She was a Resident of Elk Grove for the next 46 years. When she moved to Elk Grove she operated an in-home daycare in the community for 16 years. In 1991 she started as a part time customer service rep for Kohl’s. Her determination and drive made her the first employee of Kohls to start as a part time employee and work herself up all the way to store manager. She was very passionate about her work and her family. Patti was a strong, loving, caring wife to her Wolfie and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her 3 boys. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her 2 grandchildren (Payton,& Macey,) whom she loved more than anything. She would take vacation time from work to go on adventures with them. Payton and Macey LOVED their OMA! She is preceded in death by her Parents Robert Mooney, and Jo Norris, her Brother Bobby Norris, Her sister Lynette, and her Husband Wolfgang. She is survived by her sons Gary(Shannon), Jim(Deane), Ron, and her Grandchildren Payton and Macey. Also surviving are her Brothers in law Jurgey (Cathy), Rick (Lydia) as well as her cousins Karen, Julie and Mike, her Nieces Haley and Jessi and Nephew Gabe. There will be a Private celebration of life at a later date to be determined.
