Kevin R. Connolly

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin R. Connolly who left us on May 30, 2024 at the young age of 67. Loving Partner to Jaffett Thomas, Son of Ralph Connolly and the late Thea Connolly. Cherished brother of Eva (Bruce) Regione, Jennifer (Ron) McGinnis. Preceded in death by Keith (Suzanne) Connolly. Beloved Uncle to Cynthea (Joseph) Sloan, Peter Regione, Michael (Maureen) Connolly, Lisa ( Trevor) O’Claire, Kyle Connolly, Sean McGinnis, Allison (Zak) Rico, Casey McGinnis. Great Uncle to many grand nieces & nephews. Kevin had a big heart, a generous spirit and was always ready with a warm hug. He will be missed by family and friends alike. Michael R. Schmidt passed away on May 29, 2024, at the age of 71 in Deerfield, IL. He was born on November 16, 1952, in Chicago, IL. and raised in Mt. Prospect. Michael was known for his career in computer and front desk sales and inventory for a plumbing supply company. In his free time, he loved traveling the world with Jim, reading and exploring history. He also had a passion for cooking and baking. A city boy at heart, he loved living in Chicago where he resided most of his life until he moved out to Deerfield to stay with his sister, brother- in law and niece. Michael is survived by his daughter Amy Fligel, brother Jeffery (Shari) Schmidt, sister Diane Burns, and sister Susan Powers. Loving grandfather to Abby and Alex Fligel and Beloved uncle to many. Dearest friend to, James (Jimmy) Grant and Greg Ortega. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Terry Burns, nephew Michael Burns, parents, Rudy and Lola Schmidt, grandparents Idabelle and Henry Devinger, and Emma and Raymond Schmidt. A Celebration of Life to honor Michael will be held on July 20, 2024, 11:30-3:00, at 20817 Maple Ct. Deerfield IL. Food will be served at noon and any and all are welcome to stop by to share a drink, a story or just to say a hello. As he begins his newest journey, we hope he will once again find something unique that intrigues him!
