Stuart D. Smith

67, passed away on December 10th, 2024 at his home in Highland Park with his wife, son, and daughter present. He had fought an almost 5 month battle against Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. Husband to Andrea B. Smith for 43 years, together for 49 years. They met the first week of Freshman year at Drake University. Father of Diana A. Smith, and Benjamin D.F. Smith(wife Caitlin Hanson). Son of David and Peggy Smith. Brother of Andrew Smith and Amy Heinhuis. Stuart will always be remembered for his sense of humor and kindness, and for his love for his family, books, music, baseball, and his beloved cat, Sampson.
