Janice “Mousie” Giese

age 77, of Prospect Heights, IL found peace on September 8, 2021 at home surrounded by the company of loved ones. Beloved wife of Ronald for 56 years, dedicated mother to Michael (Mary Ellen), David, Steven, and Sheryl; proud grandmother of Clara, Dylan, Brielle and Braden; fond sister of Carole (Banaczak); loving aunt to many nephews and nieces and lifelong friend to Marilyn (Hauber) and Susie (Kachnovitz). Janice was born to Eva (Nuck) and Henry Conrady Jr on January 25, 1944 and was preceded in death by her son Scott, sisters Judy (Krueger) and Joanne (Teschendorf), brother Henry III, and parents Eva and Henry Conrady.

Janice lived a full life as a wonderful wife mother, homemaker, and worker in retail and the printed label industry. She loved spending time with her family and embraced every moment spent together. She was grateful for the unconditional love of her husband, children, daughter in law and her grandchildren. She instilled in her family strong values that captured her essence. Janice had several hobbies that she enjoyed including baking breads, reading novels, working puzzles, and displaying her talent to quickly unscramble and spell backwards any word that she was given. Sewing was also a lifelong passion with many of the quilts, hats and scarves she crafted donated to various charitable organizations including Community Crisis Center and Lutheran General Hospital. She was also proficient in the lost art of shorthand, something that had always amazed and fascinated those who were fortunate enough to witness her writing in this unique way.

At the request of Janice there will be no formal funeral or memorial service. Those wishing to honor her life can make a donation in her name directly to The American Lung Association or Saint Peter Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights. Janice will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
